 A court on Friday plans to consider whether there's enough evidence for a trial for three Australians - including two teenagers - accused of trying to smuggle heroin from Hong Kong to Sydney.
The defendants, who have not entered pleas, have been in custody since April 12 when they were arrested in a Hong Kong hotel room.
Police said they found 114 packages of heroin wrapped in condoms and the fingers of surgical gloves that are usually swallowed by smugglers, or "drug mules."
They were charged with trafficking a dangerous drug and bail was denied.
The suspects - all from Sydney - were Rachel Ann Diaz, 17; a hair stylist, and a 15-year-old male who was a waiter.
The youth could not be identified in news reports because Hong Kong law prohibits the media from naming suspects who are 15 years old and younger.
The third defendant was Hutchinson Tran, an unemployed 21-year-old who could be sentenced to 20 years in prison if convicted.
It was not immediately known how the teenagers would be punished if they were convicted.
